The Mach Machine Tool Company is known as one of the highest quality CNC and manual machine suppliers in the UK and Ireland.
Mach initially became famous for sales of MACH VS-1 (manual) turret milling machines in 2012. Since then, the company’s production scale has grown exponentially, etc, and the number of visitors goods too. The current manual machines of the company include: in addition to VS-1 milling machines, lathes, drills, surface grinders, bench grinders, press centers, cutters and saws.
Recently, Delavale – a precision engineering subcontractor has invested in acquiring a series of Mach precision machining equipment to improve productivity and quality.
Steve Burrows, Delavale’s managing director, said: “We regularly invest in high-quality used machine tools as an established roadmap for enhancing and improving production capacity. In recent years, we have acquired a number of machines owned by Machine Tool Sales Online (A Distributor affiliated with Mach).”
Mr. Burrows first learned about the Mach 710MM + vertical machining machine at a MTSO showroom in Bristol in August 2018. He was impressed with how the machine was functional, and felt that Mach 710MM + could Meet the productivity requirements when the company decides to scale up the factory.
“The Mach 710MM + machines have some attractive features and specifications compared to many of the mid-sized vertical machining centers on the market,” said Burrows. “What particularly appealed to me was the direct drive spindle configuration, which, unlike the belt-controlled spindle options, is quieter and more responsive. The machine’s surface tool and taper and fast 48m / min speed are also important features.”
“The specifications and price of the MM710MM + have been evaluated to be irresistibly good. After delivery and installation, one of the first jobs loaded into the machine was the high precision aluminum milling process”, Mr.Burrows recalled.
From the very beginning in Delavale’s workshop, the Mach 710MM + showed that Burrows’ choice was the right one. On average, production cycle times are instantly reduced by 50% by eliminating secondary machining and finishing grinding operations.
Following the success of investing in replacement of equipment, Delavale company ordered a second Mach 710MM + machine after just a few months. Thanks to that, the productivity and product quality of the company are significantly improved in just a short time.
