Improve productivity and quality by associate with modern tools

After more than 2 years of promoting the implementation of the project “Improving productivity and quality of products, goods and services of enterprises (enterprises), cooperatives (cooperatives) in Lang Son province”, brought Practical effectiveness for production and business units.

The national program “Improving productivity and quality of products and goods” has been implemented by Lang Son province since 2012. However, the province is mainly small businesses, so the target audience of the project is limited. In 2017, the Provincial People’s Committee adjusted to expand the applicable object from enterprises to enterprises, cooperatives, and business households, in order to create a change in productivity, quality and competitiveness for enterprises, cooperatives, and business households. locality; building a movement to improve productivity and quality through a quality management system combined with modern tools, technological innovation, etc.

As one of the models of enterprises participating in the project, Thanh Long Company Limited (Lang Son City) specializes in manufacturing biscuits under the Jessica brand name and is also the only unit in the province that can export products to different markets. countries in the world, because the products are manufactured on modern technological lines and achieved ISO 22000 certification – an international food safety standard, which is accepted and valued globally.

Ms. Dao Thi Hai – Deputy Director of Thanh Long Co., Ltd. – said: To achieve ISO 22000 certification, in addition to the enterprise’s efforts in improving infrastructure, perfecting design, the Executive Board of Advanced Project Productivity and product quality Lang Son province has supported 50% of the certification construction cost; support to set up a standardized process, control the processes in the system. Thanks to that, in 2019, Jessica biscuits were honored to receive the International Award – Best Food in Southeast Asia.

Promoting the project from 2018 up to now, the Board of Management has organized conferences and seminars; coordinate to build a website to serve the propagation of productivity and quality; consulting and instructing more than 70 enterprises and cooperatives to apply technical standards and regulations for products that are building materials, quality management systems, improvement tools, branding support, code codes tracing lines, stamps … Thanks to the expansion of project participants, in 2019, 16 businesses and cooperatives were supported. In which, 1 enterprise registered trademark, product packaging; 11 enterprises and cooperatives registered to build goods traceability stamps; 3 cooperatives registered to build and certify VietGAP; 1 Enterprise applies technical standards to building stone products.

According to Mr. Tran Quoc Anh – Director of the Department of Standards – Metrology and Quality of Lang Son province: Enterprises participate in the project and apply a quality management system combining innovative tools, standards, and techniques. Products will contribute to improving quality, creating a scientific working environment, minimizing errors, saving costs, increasing revenue and income for employees to contribute to the state budget.

In the coming time, the Project Management Board will guide organizations and individuals to improve their skills in applying and practicing tools to improve productivity, quality, quality management system; consulting support, guidance on making registration dossiers for the use of bar codes, trademarks, traceability stamps, certification of standard conformity, regulation conformity for products, etc.
