The lack of management skills, especially often occurring in small and medium-sized enterprises, is not able to assess the business situation on the key points such as strengths and weaknesses in internal governance and business environment or human culture.

Recognizing the importance of the need to improve the corporate governance system in Vietnam, a research team of the Institute of International Economics and Trade – Foreign Trade University designed the software “Diagnosing corporate health. ”- A useful technological solution to help businesses assess their health status, be ready to participate in international integration when Vietnam has been, and will be, participating in many important free trade agreements such as the WTO, EVFTA, AFTA, TPP.

This software is the product of the mission “Building and supporting the application of enterprise health diagnostic tools and software, strategic planning, target management and effective salary payment, value of contribution. based on the BSC & KPI and 3Ps method for industry and trade enterprises ”, in the project” Improving productivity and product quality of industrial goods “of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The object that can use the software is Vietnamese businesses, especially small and medium enterprises. Enterprises can diagnose health by 05 methods: 1) Under the 7S model; 2) Under the BSC system; 3) According to the ISO system; 4) Follow the numerical conversion model; 5) Follow the iEIT quick examination model. Enterprises can examine single by model or general examination by all 05 models. The software will analyze, summarize and classify the health of the business and suggest problems that the enterprise needs to focus on to improve health. The interesting point is that if businesses examine with different methods, the software can synthesize visual results so that it is easier to analyze, compare and arrive at more accurate conclusions.

To use, businesses only need to register directly on the software, organize an internal team of experts to perform the evaluation according to the instructions. The expert team of the Institute of Economics and International Trade will provide online or offline support at the request of the business.

Through the use of diagnostic software, businesses will be “caught” in accordance with a procedure in the hospital examination. Typical illnesses such as human resource deficiencies, financial weaknesses or shortcomings in corporate culture will be indicated by visual graphs and specific figures. Not only that, businesses also have the opportunity to receive advice on the company’s situation from the management experts of the Institute of Economics as well as the “Business Doctor” will work out a solution. After the visit, businesses can submit records to monitor the health status periodically. This will help businesses clearly see the progress in their health.
