Technology company Zebra introduces factory equipment to help optimize workflows, increase labor productivity and improve employee capabilities. Zebra’s HD4000 wearable device incorporates the most effective features that change the way warehouse management systems (WMS) perform today.

This device can display the workload, duration of the job and the order of execution for each specific case. All of this information takes place in real time at the factory, which means that the jobs need to be processed and assigned to workers as quickly as possible. This helps reduce factory costs as well as increase work efficiency. Along with that, Zebra also launched the smart bracelet RS5100 which allows users to make the most accurate choices to increase labor productivity in industrial environments.

According to a recent study of Zebra’s 2024 factory tools, IT and managers are working on upgrading production facilities and warehouse management systems. The study also found that 54% of companies want to implement WMS with full functionality and a labor enforcement system by 2024.

The system integrates real-time WMS data at its own factory locations, providing managers with the location of workers, goods and company assets. The system will then analyze the information and create a real-time workflow at the factory with specific and detailed steps to help workers save time in their work. Now, one worker can work on multiple orders at the same time, allowing businesses to significantly reduce order processing time and increase labor productivity by up to 24%.

Zebra’s research also shows that 62% of companies plan to buy or upgrade their handheld devices like smart watches, smart glasses or hip-mounted devices. Zebra’s first enterprise-class product is a smart glass with a built-in monitor, which lets users know their work order to get things done more efficiently. The necessary information such as the location of objects, the number, the things to do will be displayed on the glass without obstructing the view of the workers.
