Hai Duong: Starting the Enterprise Improvement Consulting Project

Recently, Samsung Vietnam cooperated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to hold the launching ceremony of the Enterprise Improvement Consulting Project in Hai Duong province.

Accordingly, the business improvement consultancy project in Hai Duong province was implemented by Samsung in 5 enterprises, of which 2 enterprises were consulted by Korean experts from Samsung; Vietnam Precision Mechanics and Mold Making Co., Ltd.

Dong Bang Company Ltd. and 3 enterprises, coordinated by Korean experts from Samsung and Vietnamese consultants, include; Camex Vietnam Company Limited, Hien Le Service and Trading Company Limited, Nam, Quang Joint Stock Company, are those who have participated in the Samsung consultant training program.

This business improvement consulting project was implemented right after the memorandum of Understanding on the advisory program for businesses in Hai Duong province in the sporting industry. It was signed between the People’s Committee of Hai Duong Province, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Samsung Viet Company signed in February 2020 at the Hai Duong Supporting Industry Development Consulting Support Conference.

Time starts from July 13, 2020, lasts 12 weeks. During this time, Korean experts will survey and evaluate businesses and directly consult and work with businesses in Hai Duong province to improve production processes and complete standards in supply products and components to strengthen capacity of enterprises in the province to participate in the supply chain of components and accessories for the Samsung.

In particular, this program is also an opportunity for 11 Vietnamese consultants, who are students of the Vietnam consultant training cooperation program between Samsung and the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2018-2019 to continue to practice direct and enhance consulting capacity, becoming a core factor in Vietnam’s improvement consulting activities in the future.

It is known that, with the close cooperation between Samsung and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, from 2015 up to now, a total of 132 Vietnamese enterprises has been consulted with Korean experts and Vietnamese experts to improve their assets export, improve competitiveness and perfect yourself.

The innovation consulting program is an annual program that has been held since 2015, so far Samsung has consulted for 142 businesses.

Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the People’s Committee of Hai Duong province and Samsung Group (Korea) cooperated to organize a conference to deploy the consulting support program for enterprises in the province in the field of supporting the industry support. Hai Duong is the first province in the country selected to implement this program. Member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue attended and directed the meeting.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed the advantages of Hai Duong in attracting investment and developing enterprises. Hai Duong has focused on developing a number of supporting industries in 3 fields, namely mechanical engineering, electricity – electronics, textiles – leather and footwear with a total of about 130 participating businesses, the value growth supporting industry over 15.4% per year. He called on domestic and foreign businesses and investors to boost investment in this field. Hai Duong commits to always be consistent with the policy of attracting investment and is ready to create all the most favorable conditions for effective production and business investors.

At the conference, the Provincial People’s Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung Group signed a memorandum of understanding of the tripartite cooperation. According to the MOU, by 2020, Samsung will select at least 15 enterprises in Hai Duong province in the supporting industry to implement the 3-month training program.
