HABECO: Constantly improving technology innovation

Hanoi Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (Habeco) said that although the market situation is very volatile and difficult, the Corporation’s production and business activities in the first 6 months still reached positive results.

In the last 6 months of 2018, the Corporation sets the target: Revenue from industrial production reached 4,404.63 billion VND; the output of beer of all kinds reached 405.1 million liters; the output of assorted alcohol reached 2.78 million liters; UniAqua bottled water output reaches 2.2 million liters. Including 2018, Habeco strives to earn revenue from main products of 8,895 billion VND.

In order to achieve the current production and business results, for many years, the company has been continuously implementing innovative solutions, absorbing employees’ initiatives and investing in new technologies.

Promoting innovations of employees

Habeco constantly encourages employees in the emulation corporation to promote initiatives, innovations, and applications of science and technology into production. In 5 years (2010-2014), the whole corporation has a total of 235 innovations, standardization and application of science and technology. These improvements help remove many difficulties in production and business activities and benefit the company 23.15 billion VND. Particularly in 2017, the total number of initiatives of employees is 68 projects, the benefit value is 4,596 billion VND, saving 3,316 billion VND.

Investing in production technology and management system according to international standards

Since 2015, the company has innovated and improved from brewing, boiler to the water treatment system, brewing yeast, fermenting by the outdoor automatic tank, beer filtration system, cooling, wastewater treatment system… by continuous brewing, using wet malt grinding technology. At the same time, in 2015 Habeco also developed and applied environmental management system according to TCVN / ISO 14001 certified by TUV Nort (Germany).

In July 2018, the Corporation awarded certificates of merit to units awarded the Total Quality Award in 2017.

Applying multiple technical and management measures together with investment in research and development

In addition, in 2018, in order to meet the production and business objectives, the company has applied many measures such as improving the capacity of machinery and equipment, effectively exploiting the equipment put into production to increase product output; pay attention to the promotion of technical innovations, management, propaganda of the sense of industrial style, corporate culture, environmental protection for employees… The Corporation focuses on many solutions on it has ensured the quality improvement schedule, changed the design of Hanoi Beer products and plans to bring Beer Hanoi 355 ml products to the market; research to improve the quality of Hanoi beer products; Test on the scale of Light beer production.

Especially, on April 5, 2018, the Corporation also held a ceremony to attach the sign of the project “Investing in beer production system” at the Institute of Beer and Wine and Beverage Technology, Hanoi Beer Factory – Me Linh. The whole device is equipped with modern, synchronous, designed according to European standards. The high degree of automation ensures that the quality of the tested product is not different from that of a similar industrial product. The project will provide facilities for research, technical and technological development, analysis and testing of beer, wine, and soft drinks.

The construction in addition to the economic meaning also implies social significance, contributing to the development of science and technology, enhancing the position of the Vietnam beverage industry. According to Habeco’s leader, the investment in developing a test brewing system demonstrates Habeco’s determination: always focus on technology application to improve product quality, relentlessly launch outstanding products.
