Growth of 18% a year by improving quality productivity

Develop a roadmap to conquer the National Quality Award

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy General Director of Binh Minh Plastic Joint Stock Company that won the National Quality Gold Award in 2017, said that the criteria of the Award for enterprises have covered all management jobs as well as production activities. Therefore, good implementation of these criteria has helped Binh Minh Plastics improve its competing capability and business efficiency.

Talking to reporter of Vietnam Quality at the press conference to announce the 2017 National Quality Award organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Hanoi, Mr. Hai said that the National Quality Award has been studied by Binh Minh Plastics and there has been a roadmap to prepare to attend from a long time ago.

“Before participating in the award, we applied the quality management model ISO 9000, the standard of environmental quality management ISO 14000 and the improvement tools such as Kaizen, 5S into our quality management activities based on the criteria of the National Quality Award set out”, Hai said.

Thanks to the support of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality in documenting and making recommendations on improving the quality management system of corporate governance system, Binh Minh Plastics was considered to be selected as a Gold Quality Award for the first time participating in the National Quality Award.

“This is a great honor for our company and very important in promoting our brand in the domestic market as well as in the regional and international markets,” proudly said Hai.

Regarding the effectiveness of applying the criteria of the National Quality Award in management and production activities, Mr. Hai said that the achievement of Binh Minh Plastics is due to the fact that enterprises always put the quality and productivity factor to the top of priority.

 “When applying innovative tools on product quality and productivity, the results are reflected in the quality and efficiency of annual production and business of the company. And Binh Minh Plastics in the last 5 years has always achieved an average growth rate of 16% to 18% per year. This is really a very impressive result in the tough economic condition currently.

And also with the application of such solutions to manage the quality of corporate governance, our business is among the 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam, the 50 most efficient enterprises on the stock exchange. These are the achievements that we have achieved with our current output of approximately 100 thousand tons/year and sales of more than VND 4 trillion/year”, Mr. Hai said.

Mr. Hai also said that since the early days of establishment, the company has always paid attention to quality and considered quality as its vital factor, so all investment in technological equipment and latest advanced production methods applied in Binh Minh.
