Excellent female worker with billions VND-savings initiatives

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Mai is a typical example of Vicem Hoang Thach Cement Company with many innovative technical initiatives to limit the difficulties that workers often encounter in the production environment. At the same time, these initiatives also bring many practical benefits to the company, with values ​​up to billions of VND. One of her most prominent initiatives is “Changing the width of the textile yarn at the spinning stage and redistributing warp yarns in the loom” (2015). Mai’s job is to produce KPK cement bags and she directly works on the Textile team, which is the team to create a PP woven fabric.

Ms. Mai said: “Realizing that in the old way, the yarn width and density are not reasonable, the roll of fabric is often too big or small, leading to the phenomenon of the finished shell being cracked, torn, so it will impact. Therefore, I have researched, learned and had the initiative to adjust the size of the fabric and re-arrange the textile yarn properly, adjust the fabric along the way a certain diagram”.

As a result, this initiative has increased labor productivity, reduced material consumption, about 50 kg plastic / shift, waste also decreased from five to eight kg / shift to two to four kg / shift. The economic efficiency from the initiative helps to save about VND 1.5 million / shift and about a billion VND / year in production costs of the unit. Not stopping there, in 2016, she also had the initiative “Research on the safety pin of the woven fabric roll.” Thanks to this initiative, the woven fabric is kept fixed, not dropped, making it unsafe for workers during production.

During the work process, she has constantly given the many initiatives to save fuel, increase productivity and improve product quality. With a sense of responsibility and her initiatives, not only praised by the leaders of the company and the company, the female workers admired them, but the male workers also showed their admiration. In 2017, Ms. Ngoc Mai was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister as one of 10 typical examples to receive the “Vietnam Women Award” and many other awards.
