Example of technical innovation at Mang Yang Rubber Company

Although he was just working at the K’Dang Rubber Processing Enterprise of Mang Yang Rubber One Member Company Limited since September 2017, Mr. Tran Huu Tam, Deputy Director of the enterprise, has contributed important technical innovations and improvements, helping the unit to increase productivity, reduce labor, and create conditions for workers to work effectively.

Initiative automatic tapping machine instead of manual machine

• On operating costs after improvement: 2 labors/1 rolling system were reduced
• On product quality: due to the automatic running programmed devices, the quality of rubber sheet products is uniform.
• On labor safety: Normally using manual sheeting machines is very likely to cause labor accidents, and using automatic machines greatly reduces.

Improved 4-axis rolling mill to 6-axis mill

• On investment costs, according to the new purchase plan, the investment cost for a new rolling mill is VND 400 million; According to the Improvement Plan, the improvement cost is only VND 20 million. This option saves VND 380 million (equivalent to 95% of the cost) compared to Option 1.
• On product quality, improving the 4-axis rolling mill to 6-axis rolling machine to help better the quality of the latex sheet, at the same time eliminating impurities and removing the serum thoroughly, more beautiful latex sheet.

Improving Latex lifting bridge – combination of rotary wheels

• On investment costs, self-improvement costs decreased by 66% compared to the cost of hiring construction units.
• On operating costs: this improvement helps to reduce a work on a lift system (2 rigs).

In addition, there are many improvements of Mr. Tam which bring practical effects such as improving water filtration system of alum and limestone without electricity, helping the company’s workers working in Cambodia to use water safely and economically; improve the capacity of solar power systems, helping to lower the cost of products. There have been 15 solar enhancers that applied this innovation to install in Vietnamese rubber companies in Cambodia. In 2018, Mr. Tam was honored to be selected as one of the 6 typical young faces of Gia Lai province.
