Chairman and CEO of URC Vietnam – the leading food and beverage manufacturer from the Philippines, Mr. Laurent Levan, considers that the staff is one of the key factors determining the success of his business. The manpower that Mr. Laurent mentioned is more than 1,600 employees in fields who have been working with URC Vietnam since the beginning. During the past 16 years of operation, the unit has not only invested in facilities to own the highest certificates such as ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 for the central laboratory, ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015 for the quality management system and environment, etc, but also constantly interested in building the capacity and improving working conditions for this team.

International standard working environment for employees

Last year marked the recognition of the international business community for URC Vietnam’s efforts, when HR Asia was honored as one of the companies with the best working environment in Asia. Recently, the unit has just received ISO 45001: 2018 certification for Hanoi factory and two factories in VSIP1, Binh Duong.

ISO 45001: 2018 is an international occupational health and safety standard that was just released in March 2018 to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses worldwide. Standards are considered to be a testament to a safe and healthy working environment for workers as well as stakeholders.

Talking about the unit he has worked for over 9 years, Mr. Pham Van Doan – Deputy Head of Production Department of URC Vietnam shared: “The company has a very good working environment, along with innovative training programs. , useful for employees – That’s why I have a long-term commitment to the company”. Also according to Mr. Doan, the remuneration policy and training activities are a strategy to help each URC employee always take the quality and safety of products as a guideline for every stage of the production process.

“The health and safety of consumers is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we always put product quality first. We always uphold our commitment to quality and safety, and this is evident in every aspect of our operating process – from input selection to production and distribution, ” Mr. Doan said.

Because each product is the result of consensus, every employee in any position is proud when URC’s “made – in – Vietnam” products are exported to more than 10 countries around the world, including fastidious markets such as Japan, Thailand, South Korea and Taiwan.
