Dak Nong: Benefit from technical demonstration model

Accounting for 76% of the funding, the content of supporting the application of machines and equipment in production is an activity that brings practical efficiency and is a highlight of Dak Nong Industrial promotion center in recent years.

According to data from Dak Nong Department of Industry and Trade, from 2014 to 2018, Dak Nong industrial promotion was allocated VND 7,688 billion to implement programs and projects. In particular, the content of supporting the construction of technical demonstration models, technology transfers and scientific advances accounts for 5,897 billion dong. From this funding, Dak Nong Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consultant (center) has implemented 31 projects. Up to now, the completed projects have been put into stable operation, bringing good revenues and profits to beneficiaries.

For example, Le Binh Minh Phat Co., Ltd. (Gia Nghia town), after being supported by the center with VND 195 million, invested 1 leaf rolling machine, 1 U rolling machine and 1 rolling door rolling machine to create doors with high quality and nice design. Since then, increasing the competitiveness of products in the market, while helping the company expand production scale, sales reached 2.5 billion/year.

Similarly, the center also supported Viet Lua Cotton Processing and Manufacturing Co., Ltd. to invest in a silk peeling machine, a rice husk separator, a rice separator, a stone screening machine and a white milling machine. After putting the new equipment system into use, the company’s revenue reached VND 3.7 billion/year.

It can be seen that the preference of Dak Nong industrial promotion for the content of building technical demonstration models and the application of advanced machines and equipment has significantly affected the growth quality of the Rural Industry Department (Rural Industry). However, the development of production facilities as well as the effectiveness of the industrial promotion program have not been as expected. The reason is that it is a mountainous province with a small market and underdeveloped intra-provincial trade, resulting in high commodity prices and low labor force. Moreover, most of the small scale rural IT establishments, households, rudimentary machines and equipment have led to low product quality and no orientation for long-term production plans.

The low financial support makes the attraction of industrial promotion not high. The long implementation period of the project affects the investment plan of the facility, so there is a need to adjust and change the machinery and equipment that have requested support.

The representative of Dak Nong Department of Industry and Trade also said that in the long-term orientation, Dak Nong has built many solutions to overcome these difficulties and at the same time improve the effectiveness of the industrial promotion program. Accordingly, in addition to the budget funding to support the industrial promotion program, the province will integrate with other target projects and programs to encourage the attraction of capital from individuals and organizations investing in developing rural industry.

Regularly review, formulate and supplement to complete mechanisms and policies on industrial promotion activities along the direction of giving focus and key supports, focusing on supporting key industries and branches of the province. Strengthening the inspection and supervision to ensure that industrial promotion funding sources are used for the right purposes and achieve high efficiency.

In the period of 2014-2018, the content of supporting the development of technical demonstration models and the application of machinery and equipment in the production of Dak Nong industrial promotion has attracted over VND 9.27 billion of counterpart capital from beneficiaries.
