According to the report of Dak Nong Aluminum Company – TKV, in the first 6 months of 2017, Nhan Co Aluminum Factory has produced over 324,000 tons of alumina converted, equal to 56% of the yearly plan. Revenue is estimated at over 3,200 billion VND; in which, the revenue from mineral production was 3,166 billion VND, accounting for 68% of the annual plan.
Currently, the quality of Nhan Co Aluminum Factory has been stabilized with the content of aluminum oxide reaching over 98.6%. This is a factor that helps alumina products to be favored by many customers around the world. Therefore, alumina products are consumed immediately after production, mainly exported to the markets of Japan, Korea, Hongkong (China), Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland.
With the current favorable production situation, Dak Nong Aluminum Company aims to strive for the operating capacity to reach the designed capacity this year with a production output of 630,000 tons of alumina converted, increase by 8.6% compared with the plan assigned by the Group. Accordingly, revenue will increase by 7.7%, equivalent to 5,000 billion VND. The annual profit is expected to reach over 150 billion VND.
According to Mr. Minh Hoang Khai Quoc – Director of Dak Nong Aluminum Company, in order to achieve the goal of the year, the company continues to enhance the ability to capture technology chains, drastically directing to care and maintenance equipment, investment in the analysis of technical technology systems to ensure a more stable operation of the production line. At the same time, continue to manage and effectively use bauxite ore resources and protect the environment, in order to ensure economic growth and sustainable development.
Encourage innovation initiatives
The company encourages workers to actively study and propose technical innovations to improve production stages, reduce costs of consumable materials, and lower production costs. The motto of leaders of Dak Nong Aluminum Company – TKV always respects all initiatives even though the smallest initiatives. In recent years, there have been many technical innovations, rationalizing the production of employees, contributing greatly to stabilizing production and improving the productivity of Nhan Co Aluminum Plant. Under the direction and control of the Council of Technical Innovation Initiative, most of the technical staff have been active contribute many ideas. Most initiatives are facilitated to be able to apply in practice.
In the first 6 months of 2017, the company received 28 ideas and initiatives of 131 authors and co-authors; deployed 10 initiatives, 9 of which were transferred and applied to use. The director of the company – Mr. Minh Hoang Khai Quoc and Mr. Hoa Nguyen Tien – Manager of the Thermal Power Workshop had “Initiative to improve the cooling water system for rotating equipment at the Thermal Power Plant”. The other employees have initiatives such as fabrication of couplings, gears to assist in the installation/dismantling of coupling devices, big size gears and the use of hydraulic jacks ensure technical and safety for workers…
It can be said that the movement of promoting initiatives and technical improvements at Dak Nong Aluminum Company – TKV has spread widely to all employees, contributing significantly to the success of the company when striving to complete the 2017 plan targets.

Implementing 5S application
Since June 2018, the company has applied the 5S methodology in 4 areas: Electrical, Raw Materials, Mechanical Electrical, and Network Stations Workshops. These are the leading areas in the movement to implement 5S well to be typical, creating a basis for applying 5S throughout the company.
