Within the framework of the project of “Training and guiding the implementation of 5S good practices at enterprises of Industry and Trade”, from June 2017 to July 2018, Phu Tho Textile Co., Ltd. has been deployed and completed 5S good practice program, granted the 5S Certificate by Ministry of Industry and Trade in August 2018.

Phu Tho Textile Company operates in the field of PE and Cotton yarn production, with support from the project, 5S good practice guidance activities are implemented in the whole company except workshop no.1 (specialized in producing PE yarns).

Accordingly, the Epro consulting company’s expert has conducted training and training for 100% of employees about 5S. At the same time, support the company to establish 5S Executive Board and develop the process of implementing each step of 5S. After a period of implementation, many visual changes have been recorded in the arrangement in production areas, factories, warehouses, offices, etc. Especially, 26.4 tons of scrap have been removed; factory premises have been improved to be tidy and clean; raising awareness of implementing and maintaining 5S of all employees in the company; eliminating excess operations, optimizing work to achieve the highest labor efficiency.

The company has carried out drawing positioning, standardizing position for easy-to-use tools and equipment such as trolleys, repair vehicles, etc; addition of nameplates, identification labels for all items, facilities of the workshop area, shelves in warehouses, document cabinets and the document file in the office area; arranging 5S slogans, posters and message boards to communicate 5S activities within the company, etc.
