Business support program applying TPM of the Ministry of Industry and Trade

Direct support to manufacturing businesses in 2018-2019

In 2018-2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade provided free support to 24 private and state-owned enterprises to apply the tool to maintain overall equipment performance (TPM). This is the activity of implementing the project “Improving productivity and quality of industrial products and goods” approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 604 / QD-TTg dated May 25, 2012. Activities The main activities in 24 businesses that have been deployed include guidance on pillars AM, PM, FI, HSE, E&T, etc. building and maintaining processes for management, equipment maintenance, internal training towards (1) no defects, (2) no shutdowns, (3) no loss, and (4) no accidents.

TPM stands for Comprehensive Productivity Maintenance Tool, aiming to always maintain maximum productivity of machines and equipment. TPM implementation includes activities such as: building equipment maintenance program, monitoring the implementation of equipment maintenance; identification of production losses; analyze data on losses and set up Focus improvement (FI) groups to minimize these losses.

Direct support to manufacturing businesses for the two years 2019-2020

Next, in 2019-2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organizes a free consultancy support program for factories and manufacturing companies about TPM through the task of “Building and applying TPMl and software to support industrial enterprises”.

 The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Official Letter No. 8850 / KHCN with the content of announcing this free support program to businesses (see official dispatch here), under which, the subjects are encouraged to participate. All businesses have production activities, the size of the number of employees from small, medium, to large and have the commitment of the company / factory management.
