In recent years, the application of many quality standards and improvement and management tools has brought a great deal of efficiency to businesses, one of which is Hoa Binh Refinery Joint Stock Company Binh Son oil (BSR).
At Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company, the implementation and maintenance of 5S have given the Company a new face, created a spillover effect and gradually became a culture for businesses. In each working area of the departments, the Company introduced 5S to officials and employees; thereby helping them to gradually improve the filing, documents in the office more compact and scientific. Regulations in specific areas such as supplies, machinery and equipment or office supplies, etc. are arranged in a clear order. The cleaning of the area after carrying out the work is more focused, especially in the factory and lab areas. The company also built and set up instruction boards for using copiers and printing paper in the shared area, avoiding wasting paper and ink, etc.; instructions on waste classification, proper labeling and placement of waste basket etc. At BSR are widely disseminated in specialized departments.
Not stopping there, in recent years, the Company has effectively implemented the Kaizen program and more and more innovations and improvements have been applied in the work. In the second quarter of 2019 alone, the company has nearly 50 Kaizen innovations, including 41 initiatives successfully applied by the Company, thereby helping the company save nearly VND 1.2 billion.
Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company also built an integrated management system of QHSE in the whole company to synchronously manage according to the international standard ISO 9001 – the quality management system; ISO 14001 – environmental management system; OHSAS 18001 – energy management system and laboratory capacity management system according to ISO 17025: 2008. The company has also implemented specialized management tools such as CMMS (materials management and maintenance and repair) etc.
According to Mr. Pham Cong – Deputy Head of Quality Management Department the Company shared: “Applying management tools to help the factory operate more stable production, quality regularly maintained over the years with achievements 100% of the batches of products sold to the market are of quality, no returned goods. 100% of the results of state inspections and tests for quality are satisfactory. As a result, the Company’s image was raised, increasing the trust of customers and partners. Along with the combination of innovative tools such as 5S or Kaizen, plant optimization, energy consumption, auxiliary, catalytic products, etc. from 2010 to the present, BSR has saved over VND 5,000 billion”.
From the deployment and flexible application of innovative tools and integrated management system, Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company has completed the set plans. In the first 9 months of 2019, the company’s revenue reached VND 73,851 billion; state budget reached 6,937 billion and profit before tax reached 1,344.6 billion.
