Binh Thuan promotes business support to improve productivity and quality

Implementing the program “Improving the productivity of goods quality of enterprises in Binh Thuan province in the period of 2016-2020” in 2020, the Sub-Department of Standards and Quality set a goal to continue to support enterprises to improve the productivity of goods quality and competitiveness on the basis of applying standards solutions , technical regulations, management system, quality productivity improvement tools combined with propagating and organizing training on quality productivity for enterprises.

Currently, businesses in Binh Thuan province are aware of the importance of building and applying quality management systems, ensuring the quality of goods and services. Therefore, productivity and quality improvement programs have become indispensable activities in the process of construction and development at the enterprise. To better access and understand management systems (ISO 9001, TPM, HACCP, etc.) and improvement tools (5S, KPI, Kaizen, Lean, Lean 6 Sigma, etc.) many businesses in the area have submitted registrations to support quality productivity training on Binh Thuan Sub-Department of Standards and Quality Measurement.

In May 2020, the Sub-Department organized 03 training courses on quality productivity, namely: 02 courses “How to apply KPI – Performance Measurement Index” and “Guide how to apply TPM – Maintaining comprehensive productivity” for 100 employees of  Thuan Tien Garment Co., Ltd. and 01 course “Guide how to apply Lean – Production Management Method” for 100 employees of Thuan Tien Garment Co., Ltd. and 01 course “Guide how to apply Lean – Production Management Method” for 30 employees of Vinh Hao Mineral Water Corporation.

Through the training courses, employees of 02 enterprises have mastered more knowledge and skills about: Concepts of TPM, KPI, Lean; The role of TPM, KPI, Lean in improving quality productivity; know how to apply the techniques and tools learned in practice; motivate individuals to have innovative ideas; create a spirit of team work, solidarity; raising awareness always towards minimizing waste and discussing, discussing and sharing practical issues, advantages and difficulties when applying management systems and tools to improve quality productivity.

 Participating in the training course are typical enterprises of Binh Thuan province in implementing quality productivity in recent years. Vinh Hao Mineral Water JSC with the motto “Productivity – Quality – Efficiency” and “Products must make a difference”, the unit always focuses on improving productivity and product quality, meeting product quality standards such as QCVN 6-1:2010/BYT, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, and applying 5S and KPI tools to improve product quality. Thuan Tien Garment Co., Ltd. is constantly improving quality productivity in the application of ISO 9001:2015, SA 8000, Lean, 5S, etc., production and business activities. The application of quality management system has helped Thuan Tien improve product quality and improve productivity, help production activities achieve high efficiency, reduce costs, improve competitiveness.

Facing the increasingly demanding requirements of the market requires businesses to realize the importance of improving productivity and product quality through the construction of management systems, tools to improve quality productivity into production and business to promote labor productivity activities, improving product quality.
