Bac Giang Trade Union: Good examples of labor with many initiatives (Part 2)

Mr. Giap Van Tuan is a typical example in the trade union of Bac Giang province with many technical innovations to save Bac Giang Clean Water JSC hundreds of VND millions.

Known as a unit specializing in providing clean water products for people’s daily life and labor, Bac Giang Clean Water JSC always encourages workers to be creative and innovative to increasingly bring customers better quality products.

Responding to the creative labor movement, Mr. Giap Van Tuan during his time working in the technical department spent a lot of time researching the operational features of machines. The experience he received in this process was a solid foundation that helped him launch highly effective initiatives. Mr. Tuan’s first improvement idea was “Research, re-calculate parameters, increase the capacity of the Transmission Pumping Station of the Clean Water Plant from 25 thousand m3/day, night to 35 thousand m3”. In 2015, the Company decided to invest in pump systems to increase capacity, meeting the increasing demand for water of people. However, the installation by a consulting firm was difficult, unsym meet the expected requirements. The Board of Directors of the Company assigned to the Technical Department of research, the main is Giap Van Tuan proposed the direction of remediation. ‘

Faced with this problem, Mr. Tuan has carefully studied the relevant data and specifications to find the appropriate solution. As a result, instead of choosing to install equipment of a foreign enterprise, Tuan boldly proposed to use the pump of Hai Duong Pump Manufacturing Company, ensuring the requirements set out at a much cheaper price. Thanks to the above initiative, enterprises have saved more than VND 200 million and completed the capacity increase 3 months earlier than planned.

Or as the initiative “Adding a raw water pipeline” in 2017 is applied and highly appreciated by company leaders. In fact, increasing capacity to meet user needs but still saving costs is always the goal of each staff of the factory. Therefore, the calculation to build more raw water pipes becomes an effective solution because this initiative will increase capacity without the need to invest more pumps. It is known that Mr. Tuan has made dozens of technical improvements large and small with the efficiency of improving productivity, minimizing waste as well as evoking the spirit of proactive work at the factory.
