Bac Giang Trade Union: Good examples of labor with many initiatives (Part 1)

In recent years, Trade Union of Bac Giang province has always encouraged the spirit of innovation of workers through the organization of good labor emulation movements and honored individuals and organizations that achieved outstanding achievements.

These contributions not only contribute to improving production and business efficiency for units and enterprises but also build a beautiful image of workers, active and proactive officers in their work, helping to build a culture of improvement in a widespread way.

Among the enterprises that were honored in 2019, United Services and Trade JSC (Lang Giang) is known as one of the units with the most outstanding achievements. Mr. Ngo The Manh in the process of working at the company has come up with many unique creative ideas to help bring economic efficiency online. For example, the initiative “Manufacturing 45-degree angle cutting molds covers wood grain steel doors”. In 2016, the company invested in the production line “Wooden Steel Door” with new and modern technology. The Board of Directors assigned Mr. Manh and his colleagues to implement this new task.

After researching the optimal operation method for the new system, Mr. Manh realized that the 45-degree angle cutting stage of the door frame took too long, affecting productivity, leading to many orders being behind schedule. Understanding where the knot of the process is located, Mr. Manh has made a new type of specialized cutting mold that is better suited to the cutting angle to overcome all the previous limitations.

This new cutting mold reduces the time to cut the corner of the mold covering a set of doors from 15 minutes to 2 minutes, beautiful and precise. Not only that, but also reduce the waste rate from 2% to 0.5%, saving costs for the company more than 240 million / year. “Mr. Manh’s technical innovation has brought many benefits. As a result, the products produced by the company have created a firm foothold in the market, favored by many customers” – Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Director of the company shared.

Each technical innovation applied to successful production creates more motivation for Mr. Manh to continue on the creative journey. Initiatives such as: Spray paint robots; lock hole system; rearranging the line, eliminating excess manipulations in the production of fireproof steel doors, etc., contribute to freeing up labor, reducing costs, improving productivity and product quality.

With his efforts and creativity in labor, Mr. Manh was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee. In addition, he was honored to be one of the three outstanding workers nominated for the Nguyen Duc Canh Award by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
