Bac Giang Clean Water: Save billions of VND from innovation

Responding to the movement of Learning and following the example of Uncle Ho, the Party Committee of Bac Giang Clean Water Joint Stock Company has stepped up emulation and promoted initiatives, technical innovations and thrifty practices to reduce waste in the production process. business; improve service quality and work towards building an improved culture at the company.

Since the movement was launched, on average, the Company has had 3-5 technical innovation initiatives applied successfully each year, benefiting from 100-300 VND million. Some typical initiatives can be mentioned as: Hot plate for inverter at booster pump station; renovating the intermediate drive mechanical coupling of the electric valve D350mm and D400mm; designing and manufacturing garbage filters for large water flow meters; backup electrical cabinet for raw water pumping station; machining bearings for clean water pumps; designing and manufacturing 4-piece cladding belts for quick repair and installation for PVC pipes.

Most of the above initiatives come from the Engineering – Materials Department, the incubator of many positive innovation examples at the company. A typical example is Mr. Bui Vinh Bac (born in 1984) with the initiative “Improving tangled equipment”. Mr. Bac’s new equipment can operate completely automatically, without wasting energy and requiring no operator. Thanks to its ability to operate continuously without almost any maintenance, the initiative has been highly appreciated by the company management. In fact, the Company has also saved about VND 200 million on the purchase of puppet equipment and earned an additional 30 million VND per year just with this initiative. Accordingly, Mr. Bac was awarded the 2017 Hoang Hoa Tham Fund Award by Bac Giang Provincial Youth Union.

Not only Mr. Bac, the Department of Engineering – Materials and Materials has also devoted many unique solutions and initiatives that are a testament to the solidarity and collective spirit. In which, the solution “Calculating and proposing the additional construction plan of the D500mm raw water pipe” is one of the most outstanding initiatives of the Department, contributing to increase the capacity of the upstream works system up to 42,000m3 / day and night, saving the cost of buying new pumps is about 4.5 billion dong; Reducing the loss on the push pipe, reducing the pump pressure of the raw water pump, thereby reducing power consumption.

In order to honor individuals and collectives who actively respond to the innovation movement, the Company annually organizes awards for initiatives and creations that bring practical effects to spread and encourage spirit. emulation throughout the Company contributes to arousing a sense of responsibility, creative working spirit, a sense of self-reliance, dare to think dare to be in employees.
