Application of modern machinery in wheat starch prodution in Tay Ninh province

Vietnam currently has about 100 factories producing tapioca starch, capable of producing about 1.5 million tons/year; Most of these factories are located in southern Vietnam. Tay Ninh is the province with the largest concentration of cassava starch factories with about 80 factories, able to produce 1,400,000 tons/year.

On November 17, 2017, the local Department of Industry and Trade – Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tay Ninh Department of Industry and Trade coordinated to deploy the conference to introduce the technology of separating wheat starch with ALFA LAVAL series model TX-712B -34CH from Sweden for the same industry production facilities in Tay Ninh province in general and other provinces like Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Kien Giang.

The machine is easy to use, low operating and maintenance costs.

Centrifuge model TX-712B-34Ch is compact design, high latex extraction performance. The power consumption of the machine is about 50% lower than other types of centrifuges on the market today, which helps reduce the cost of electricity for concentrating and washing the starch in the starch processing plants.

Foreseeing the increasing demands of the market and diverting in-depth investment, long-term development, Hoang Huy Production Trading Private Enterprise (Hamlet 2, Suoi Ngo commune, Tan Chau district) has boldly invested machines, equipment, wheat starch processing line, gradually modernize production technology, improve quality, reduce product costs. The total cost of implementing the project is VND 1,150,500,000, of which, the national industrial promotion funding will support VND 81,800,000 to purchase machinery and equipment, Hoang Huy Enterprise invests VND 806,495,500. The device is a DPF550 DISC SEPARATOR DPF550-SM-01, with a capacity of 3.4 tons of starch/hour, cutting the dough in automatic hydraulic mode.

Talking about the efficiency of installing new technology centrifuges, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, the owner of the business, said that in the past, when using the cassava starch processing process with cement trough, it took about 10-12 hours new products. With modern centrifuge, only after 2 hours for the product. Just saving time, operating capacity increased to 20%, the total capacity reached 120 tons/day.

Like Hoang Huy Enterprise, Diep Minh Nhut Flour Mill (Truong Dong commune, Hoa Thanh district) has also invested heavily in modern equipment. Compared with the old technology used by the facility, the application of new technology equipment is shown as follows: The production capacity increases from 100 tons of starch/day to 200 tons of starch/day; higher quality flour, whiter powder color; less wastage of input materials; labor-saving; energy saving; longer storage and preservation time; more competitive product prices; reduce environmental pollution.

Similarly, Hung Van Private Enterprise (No. 128, Group 5, Tan Trung Hamlet, Tan Binh Commune, Tay Ninh City) invested in a 100% new centrifugal water separator, model DPF445/13H, capacity of 40 m3/h, with an investment of VND 579.15 million and an industrial promotion subsidy of VND 200 million.
