Achievements through the promotion of the application of productivity and quality improvement tools in Quang Nam

After 6 years of implementing the project “Improving productivity and quality of products and goods of small and medium enterprises in Quang Nam province in the period of 2012-2020”, up to now, the province has achieved many outstanding results. Turn on in the application of management systems, quality productivity improvement tools.

Specifically, Program 2 of the Project is Supporting the application of advanced management systems and improvement tools to improve the productivity and quality of businesses that have focused on information, propaganda, train enterprises’ personnel in developing and applying advanced management systems and improvement tools to improve quality productivity.

By 2017, the province has completed the organization of 02 training courses on Building and applying the ISO 9001 quality management system with 66 students; 02 training courses on Kaizen and 5S Implementation with 54 learners; 02 training courses on Lean-6sigma with 80 participants and completed; disseminating 70 propaganda leaflets on the project’s content and posting information about the implementation of the project on the provincial website.

On the other hand, the province has reviewed supporting documents for 13 enterprises to build and apply the quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2015 (Thai Binh Chu Lai One Member Limited Company, Truong Luc Co., Ltd, Chi Quang Nam Branch – Khai Phong Joint Stock Company, Ai Nghia Agricultural Cooperative, Hoang Dat Company Limited, ISO 22000: 2015 (Ngoc Dinh Co., Ltd), HACCP (Phuoc Thai Co., Ltd, Clean vegetable cooperative My Hung), ISO 14001 (Huu Toan Chu Lai Company Limited), VietGAP (Phu Ninh Clean Food Cooperative).

Thanks to propaganda and training programs, awareness of the quality productivity movement of the business community has initially had a positive change; This is reflected in the number of businesses registering to participate in the Project, through the registration of participating in training courses on productivity and quality. Many businesses taking part in training courses appreciate the local Productivity and Quality program, which is practical and useful activity for enterprises that all businesses deem necessary, especially in the period of extensive integration of the Vietnamese economy today. The evaluation and measurement of productivity factor, product and service quality of enterprises help businesses know their internal capabilities to have accurate directions for the arrival time.

Quang Nam Department of Industry and Trade also said that in 2018, Quang Nam’s Quality Productivity Project continues to be maintained and promoted with support for the local business community.
