Thanks to these changes, the production capacity of Donagamex has been greatly improved. Each year, the company can produce 1.5 million jackets, 2.5 million shirts, 1.2 million pants, 1 million sets of sports and workwear; 800,000 dresses; 300,000 sets vest and many other fashion products.

Mr. Vu Duc Dung, Deputy General Director of Dong Nai Garment Corporation Donagamex said: That thanks to the introduction and use of modern equipment and facilities, every year Donagamex decreased from 15- 20% of labor but productivity increased over 20%. Since the application of automatic and programmable sewing machine, the productivity has increased by 40-50% compared to before. The Corporation has created a reputation for production capacity, product quality, and stands firmly in three major markets: the US (43%), Japan (48%), Europe (3%), in addition to having The market share in other markets is equivalent to about 4% of the Corporation’s annual export value.

Mr. Pham Xuan Tam, Chairman of the Company’s Trade Union, said that besides improving productivity and product quality, modern machines also help businesses reduce training costs. For example, it used to take 3 months for an enterprise to train an enterprise, but now, after a week of training, a worker can operate a fully automatic sewing machine. Mr. Tam emphasized that the research, improvement and investment in automation machines for production processes allowed Dong Nai Garment Corporation to improve its competitiveness in the market.
